Drugs that can increase bleeding should be avoided. Aspirin, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, vitamin E or other herbal products should not be taken one week before the surgery. The patients with a history of heart disease, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, bypass surgery or medical operation should provide medical information to the doctor. For this reason, if the patient is taking medication to stop bleeding, he/she should not take medication for a while after consulting the doctor. Hair transplantation can be applied to patients with diabetics, but blood sugar levels should be checked. Thyroid disease, particularly lower thyroid hormone levels, reduces the success of transplantation. If you have thyroid disease, your hormone levels should be normal. You should not drink alcohol three nights before the surgery. In the morning of the operation, you should wash your hair, have a nice breakfast and go to the clinic.
There is no specialist or method/technique to answer this question. It is impossible to count hair growth one by one.
3 things are done by an experienced surgeon. A transplantation that looks natural at first glance and that is difficult to execute (by mixing one follicle in the front and two or three follicles, voluminous grafts in the back and keeping the growth direction and the natural front line of natural hair). There is no scar after the surgery. Maximum hair density (50-60% of normal hair density) and natural appearance after the surgery.
Hair transplantation can be done in repeated sessions. This depends on the width of the hair loss area. If the graft area is completely close, 2 sessions will be thin and dense (50% of normal hair density). Each targeted session increases the intensity ratio by up to 25% to 35%. In other words, hair transplantation as dense as 50% to 60% of the hair will be perfect in two sessions. Depending upon the method, the duration between two sessions should be minimum 40 days to 6 months.
The patient usually feels pain during the local anesthetic injection. When the anesthetic injection is completed, no pain occurs. However, if the surgery takes too long, the effect of the anesthesia may weaken and therefore, another injection is required. If necessary, anesthesia of 8 to 12 hours can be provided through nerve block. Strong analgesics administered at the end of the surgery prevents post-surgery pain for the patient. In some cases, oral sedatives may be given for sedation or intravenous sedation, if the patient is afraid of injections and discomfort.
After hair transplantation, the transplanted hair disappears in the first month. Hair follicle settles down, completes its growth phase and takes 3 months to grow. It takes 3 to 6 months for the first hairs to appear. The first hair is curly or wavy, thin and colorless. In the course of time, hair becomes smooth, thick and colorful with the help of the sun.
